« In this regard, We wish to emphasize the importance that must be attached to agriculture and rural development in the dynamics of economic recovery.
In the current context, it is necessary to support the resilience of this key sector and to accelerate the implementation of all agricultural projects.
Beyond stimulating investment and employment, this mechanism, anchored in the new agricultural strategy, will contribute to enhancing the value of national agricultural production and will facilitate the process of professional integration in rural areas.
One of the essential levers of this strategy is the operation to mobilize one million hectares of collective agricultural land for the benefit of investors and rights holders.
The volume of investments expected under this project is estimated at approximately 38 billion dirhams in the medium term.
This investment effort will make it possible to generate added value representing annually the equivalent of approximately two additional percentage points of GDP. It will also promote significant job creation over the coming years.
To this end, it is necessary to strengthen coordination and collaboration among the sectors concerned and to establish an enabling environment for young people in rural areas, through business creation and support for training, particularly in professions and services related to agriculture.»
