Award ceremony of the 6th edition of the Moroccan Terroir Products Competition
On April 25, 2024, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests presided, on the sidelines of the International Agriculture Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM 2024), the award ceremony of the 6th edition of the Moroccan Terroir Products Competition organized by the Agency for Agricultural Development.
Seven excellence awards were granted, namely, thyme honey from the Tazdouit Agricultural Cooperative in the Souss-Massa Region, Argan oil from the Vitargan Economic Interest Group (EIG) in the Marrakech-Safi Region, olive oil from the Oléa Capital company in the Fes-Meknes Region, camel Tichtar from the Tidguit Nagua Cooperative in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Region, Boufeggous dates from the Mezguita Agdz EIG in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region, and herb couscous from the Attakadoum Cooperative in the Fes-Meknes Region.
As for the medals, 416 were awarded, including 88 gold, 90 silver, and 238 bronze medals. Additionally, this edition saw the presentation of an innovation award for the Tapenade of capers and green olives from the El Khadra Agricultural Cooperative in the Marrakech Safi Region.
