Launching of the First Regional Dialogue of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) for the MENA region

The opening session of the Regional Dialogue of the GCF for the MENA region, which was launched by Her Excellency, Ms. Leila Benali the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, was attended by a large delegation of the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA), led by the General Director.

Mr El Mahdi ARRIFI took the opportunity to present to her excellency, the ADA’s projects and cooperation with the GCF notably the Development of Agriculture Orchards in Degraded Environment-DARED, as well as the cooperation with the Department of Sustainable Development as National Designated Authority (NDA).

On the sidelines of this important event, ADA leads an appreciable initiative by presenting the Argan local products issued from the DARED intervention zone to promote the final results of the projects.

Noting that ADA participates actively in this international GCF event through its interventions in panels to share its experience as a GCF accredited entity, its projects are financed with the GCF.

The ADA’s General Director will also hold a bilateral meeting with GCF officials to examine the progress of the financed projects, as well as ways to accelerate the approval process of new projects submitted ADA.
