03 Oct.24

The General Director of the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA), Mr. El Mahdi ARRIFI, received the 3th of October 2024 H.E. Ambassador Mr. Seyni NAFO, Coordinator of the African Adaptation Initiative (AAI), for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ADA and AAI, within the framework of the African Adaptation Project Incubator Program (APIA).

The APIA program, which has been developed by the AAI and supported by the European Union, provides customized technical assistance to the African Direct Access Entities with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Adaptation Fund (AF), aiming to support the creation of financially viable projects.

This partnership aims to support ADA, a leading entity in climate finance mobilization, to strengthen and accelerate the climate fundraising process, particularly from the GCF and the AF, for the implementation of large-scale adaptation projects with significant transformational impact.

Through this MoU, ADA could also act as a leader for other African entities by sharing its expertise in managing GCF and AF accreditations, as well as in the formalization and implementation of projects.
